故宮博物院擁有世界上規(guī)模最大、保存最完整的木結(jié)構(gòu)宮殿建筑群，收藏著各類珍貴文物186萬(wàn)余件。明清官式建筑及其豐富的院藏是人類文明與智慧的結(jié)晶，其中蘊(yùn)含的歷史、藝術(shù)、科學(xué)價(jià)值需要我們持續(xù)不斷地發(fā)掘。如何更好地保護(hù)、研究、闡釋、展示和弘揚(yáng)故宮及其藏品蘊(yùn)含的歷史文化，是我們的學(xué)術(shù)使命。

The Palace Museum is housed in the Forbidden City, the world's largest and best-preserved wooden-framed palace complex, which possesses a collection of more than 1.86 million priceless treasures. The official-styled (Guanshi) architecture of the Ming and Qing dynasties and the rich collections that reside here together represent the crystallization of human civilization and wisdom; their historical, artistic and scientific values deserve our continuous exploration. It has been our academic mission to explore how to better protect, research, interpret, display and transmit the history and culture contained in the Forbidden City and its collections.

故宮博物院秉持創(chuàng)新、開放、共享的學(xué)術(shù)理念。為鼓勵(lì)更多國(guó)（境）外優(yōu)秀專家學(xué)者到故宮博物院訪學(xué)，開展學(xué)術(shù)研究和學(xué)術(shù)交流，故宮博物院從2022年起持續(xù)實(shí)施太和學(xué)者計(jì)劃，面向國(guó)（境）外博物館、高等院校以及學(xué)術(shù)機(jī)構(gòu)招收訪問(wèn)學(xué)者。相關(guān)事宜公告如下。

In keeping with our innovative, open, and collaborative approach to academic research, the Palace Museum launched the Taihe Visiting Scholar Fellowship Programme (Taihe Fellowship) to support outstanding academics from outside the Chinese mainland to conduct academic research and exchanges at the Palace Museum. Starting from 2022, the Taihe Fellowship, named after the grandest architecture the Hall of Supreme Harmony (Taihe dian) in the Forbidden City, will be awarded to visiting museum professionals and scholars from higher learning and academic institutions outside the Chinese mainland. Detailed information is as follows:

一、太和學(xué)者計(jì)劃學(xué)術(shù)來(lái)訪支持的重點(diǎn)方向包括明清官式建筑研究、院藏文物和古籍文獻(xiàn)檔案研究、文物科技保護(hù)研究和考古學(xué)研究。

1. What We Support

The key research interests that the Programme supports include: research on official-styled architecture of the Ming and Qing dynasties; research on objects, historical books, documents, and archives in the collection of the Palace Museum; the conservation and scientific research of heritage objects and archaeological research.

二、從事中國(guó)歷史文化及相關(guān)研究的國(guó)（境）外資深研究人員和青年研究人員均可申報(bào)。申報(bào)者須由兩名同行業(yè)專家推薦。推薦者為所在單位負(fù)責(zé)人和外單位專家。

2. Whom We Support

The Programme supports both senior and young academics from outside the Chinese mainland, who are engaged in research on Chinese history and culture, as well as related fields. Applicants must present two letters of recommendation. One recommender shall be the head of the institution with which the applicant is affiliated, and the other an expert at another institution.

三、訪問(wèn)期限為3-6個(gè)月。

3. Duration

The duration of the fellowship will range from 3-6 months.

四、故宮博物院太和學(xué)者計(jì)劃和黃廷方慈善基金有限公司專項(xiàng)經(jīng)費(fèi)可為太和學(xué)者提供一次往返國(guó)際交通費(fèi)、在京公寓住宿費(fèi)、生活補(bǔ)助費(fèi)，在華一次學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)往返交通費(fèi)、住宿費(fèi)，以及必要的保險(xiǎn)費(fèi)等。

4. What We Cover

The Programme and Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation special funds will cover the costs of round-trip air tickets, apartment in Beijing, living expenses, round-trip transportation and accommodation for one academic tour in Chinese mainland, and necessary insurance costs, etc.

五、鼓勵(lì)申請(qǐng)人自籌經(jīng)費(fèi)。同等條件下，自籌經(jīng)費(fèi)者，優(yōu)先考慮。

5. Self-financing

We encourage applicants to finance themselves. Where applications are otherwise equal, self-financing applicants will be preferred.

六、申請(qǐng)人以中文或英文填寫《故宮博物院太和學(xué)者計(jì)劃（來(lái)訪）申報(bào)表（2026）》并于2025年9月8日前將紙質(zhì)版和電子版寄送故宮博物院太和學(xué)者計(jì)劃辦公室（地址：北京市東城區(qū)景山前街4號(hào)故宮博物院科研處。郵編：100009。Email：taihefellowship@dpm.org.cn）。專家推薦函的寄送地址和截止日期同上。

6. How to Apply

Applicants must complete the ‘The Palace Museum Taihe Visiting Scholar Fellowship Programme Application Form (2026)’ in Chinese or English and send both the hard and electronic copies to the Taihe Scholar Fellowship Programme Office at the Palace Museum before September 8, 2025.
