現任波士頓兒童博物館研究與項目策劃部副主任,主管該館長期規劃與籌資策略的研究與評估。曾擔任社區外展活動部和職業發展課程部負責人,并主持策劃和執行多個展覽及教育項目,包括“杭州少年——中美互聯”巡回展、一款探索亞洲文化的手機游戲App:非凡博客聯盟的聯合開發等。
負責哈佛東亞項目。該項目旨在向中國和日本提供職業發展課程和公共項目。是備受歡迎的家庭讀本《月光、水餃與龍舟:中國節日故事、活動與食譜》的作者之一,同時也是波士頓龍舟節、波士頓與杭州姐妹城市關系共同發起人。
Ms. Leslie Swartz, Senior Vice President for Research and Program Planning at Boston Children’s Museum, is responsible for research and evaluation, museum-wide long-range planning and funding strategies.
Over her tenure at Boston Children’s Museum, she has led many education and exhibition projects as well as the community outreach, and curriculum and professional development departments. She was the project director for Children of Hangzhou: Connecting with China, a traveling exhibit, and associated mobile app League of Extraordinary Bloggers, a game for exploring Asian cultures, and other educational programs.
Ms. Swartz directs the Harvard East Asian Program, which offers professional development, curricula and public programs focused on Japan and China. She co-authored Moonbeams, Dumplings and Dragon Boats: A Treasury of Chinese Holiday Tales, Activities and Recipes (Harcourt: 2002), a highly popular family book. She co-founded the Boston Dragon Boat Festival, the first in the U.S. She was also a co-founder of the Hangzhou Boston Sister City relationship, and has traveled extensively in China.
She holds a BA from Oberlin College, and an MA in East Asian Studies from the University of Michigan.
