自2018年6月起，于武爾登市立博物館兼任館長。武爾登是一座位于豪達(dá)和烏特勒支之間的古城。同時，經(jīng)營著自己的企業(yè)——“Arja van Veldhuizen文化﹑遺產(chǎn)﹑教育”機(jī)構(gòu)，為博物館與其他文化機(jī)構(gòu)提供服務(wù)。同時，自2008年起擔(dān)任荷蘭萊茵沃特學(xué)院（Reinwardt Academy）博物館教育和遺產(chǎn)教育的客座講師。

　　至2018年6月，在烏得勒支景觀遺址地（Landschap Erfgoed Utrecht）工作，該機(jī)構(gòu)致力于為所有位于烏特勒支的文化機(jī)構(gòu)提供服務(wù)。帶領(lǐng)教育工作者團(tuán)隊，為博物館和文化機(jī)構(gòu)提供各方面專業(yè)咨詢。

　　2005年至2008年，在荷蘭CODA擔(dān)任教育與展覽部主管。CODA是位于阿珀爾多倫市的一所集合博物館、檔案庫、圖書館于一體的機(jī)構(gòu)。1986年至2005年，扎根于阿姆斯特丹歷史博物館，主要承擔(dān)博物館教育工作。

　　自1989年起加入國際博協(xié)教育文化活動專委會（CECA），2004年成為專委會活躍成員，目前負(fù)責(zé)特殊項目。自2019年5月起，成為國際博協(xié)荷蘭國家委員會成員。

　　Since June 2018 Arja is the part time manager/director of Stadsmuseum Woerden. This is the city museum of Woerden, a small, ancient city between Gouda and Utrecht (www.stadsmuseumwoerden.nl). 

　　In addition she is running her own business ‘Arja van Veldhuizen – culture I heritage I education’, providing services for museums and other cultural organisations (www.arjavanveldhuizen.nl). She also is guest lecturer museum/heritage education at the Reinwardt Academy since 2008.

　　Until June 2018 Arja worked at ‘Landschap Erfgoed Utrecht’ (Landscape & Heritage Utrecht), an institution supporting all heritage institutions – including museums – in the province of Utrecht. She was leading the team of educators and providing all kinds of advice to museums and heritage institutions.

　　Between 2005 and 2008 Arja was Head of Education & Exhibits in ’CODA’, the combined museum, archives and public library of the city of Apeldoorn. Her roots are in the Amsterdam Historical Museum, where she was museum educator from 1986-2005.

　　Arja has been involved in CECA since 1989, she is active member of the Board since 2004, now responsible for special projects. Since May 2019 she is member of the ICOM Netherlands-Board.
